The Power of Unity Revisited

I’m enjoying another wonderful visit to Unity Village this week as part of the Affiliated New Thought Network Conference. Once again, I feel blessed to be on these sacred grounds doing the healing work I love called Family Constellations and being with a group of beautiful spiritual seekers from all over the country. Thursday morning I also had the opportunity to spend another 30 minutes in the Silent Unity Prayer Vigil, so it felt appropriate to share what a wrote about this amazing place after my first visit in April of 2018:

I have a new respect for Charles and Myrtle Fillmore, the Missouri couple who founded the Unity Movement in the late 1800s. I learned a lot about them and the beginnings of Unity this past weekend at the headquarters in Unity Village near Kansas City. I went there to attend a retreat with a group from Unity of Houston. I knew I would have a wonderful time, but I had no idea how deeply moved I would be just being on the property. From the moment I arrived, I could feel the power of the prayers that have been emanating from these holy grounds for almost 100 years. Prayer is the foundation of Unity.

As the Unity Movement grew, in 1929 the Fillmores purchased a farm outside Kansas City to grow produce for their vegetarian restaurant in town and to provide a space for their employees to commune with nature. That original farm is now Unity Village, a 1,200-acre campus with a hotel & conference center, a bookstore & coffee shop, and several chapels. A tower, administration buildings and classrooms surround a gorgeous set of fountains in the center courtyard. One could spend a lot of time just taking in the beauty of the rose gardens in that courtyard while listening to the gentle sound of water trickling out of the fountains. As if that weren’t enough, there is also a nature walk, two lakes, and a labyrinth on campus.

Unity Village is also the home of Silent Unity, an organization that offers prayer support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. In 1890, Charles and Myrtle began a prayer group. Out of that prayer group created 128 years ago, Silent Unity was born. We were privileged to have a guided tour of their current facility where prayer associates respond to calls, letters, emails, and other electronic prayer requests. The loving energy in that building is palpable. It boggles the mind to know they receive about 2 million prayer requests per year. I was not surprised to learn they receive the heaviest volume of prayer requests during the holidays and near the first of the month when mortgage and rent payments are due. The tour guide also shared that many people call on Thanksgiving Day just to thank them for the service they provide. What a great idea!

In addition to the call center, there is a training room and a little chapel on the top floor of this building. In the little chapel, prayer associates take thirty-minute shifts to sit in silence and hold the high watch for all those requesting prayer. Our group was given the unique opportunity to join that 24/7 prayer vigil by signing up for a shift during our free time. What an honor it was to be in that room lending my heart energy and good thoughts to that continuous flow of prayer that has been uninterrupted for over 100 years. “Peace…Be Still.” is painted on the front wall of this sweet little room, and indeed I felt incredible peace in that stillness.

This sacred space that Charles and Myrtle had the vision to create was the perfect container for our retreat. It allowed all of the participants to go deep very quickly. Because of the safe, loving energy we felt, there was an incredible willingness to be vulnerable when people were sharing. The abundance of heart connections made at this retreat was a joy to experience. The energy flowed from one event or experience to the next and everything seemed to fit together perfectly. Yes, there is power in prayer and unity. Those are the right ingredients for miracles, and I feel blessed to have been a part of it.

If you would like prayer support, visit or call 1-816-969-2000 to speak with a prayer associate any time of day. I would be honored to hold the high watch with you as well during a session or series of sessions of Life Coaching. I often end my sessions with a short guided visualization or prayer if that feels right for you. Family Constellations is another great tool based on the power of love and unity to help you get unstuck from whatever is preventing you from living a happy, healthy, prosperous life. All sessions can be done in person, by phone, or via Skype. Please look around my website for more information or send me an email to schedule a session.

Until next time, may you feel the power of love and unity enfolding you now.

Light is unlimited, and spreads across this world in quiet joy.

A Course in Miracles ~ T-13.VI.11.8

Duck, Duck, Human

About twenty years ago, my typical Saturday night would have included working the door at a nightclub in Miami Beach from 10 PM until 3 or 4 in the morning. Once my shift ended I would often join the fun under the flashing lights on the dance floor until the wee hours. How things have changed! Last Saturday evening I found myself in a park sitting quietly with some ducks watching the light show provided by Mother Nature.

One of the blessings of where I currently live in Houston is the ability to walk to Hermann Park, a beautiful, 445-acre green space located on the southern end of the Museum District. I love to sit on the tree-shaded benches next to McGovern Lake watching the fountain spray water high into the air as a variety of ducks, geese, and other birds swim or fly by. This particular Saturday evening I decided to take a stroll to my sacred spot to have a chat and prayer by phone with one of my dear friends in California. When I arrived, there was a duck sitting on one side of my favorite bench.

She didn’t seem to mind when I sat down next to her to continue my conversation. Together we watched the sun dip below the horizon as twilight illuminated the sky and the buildings of the Medical Center across the lake. A turtle poked its head above the reflective surface of the water to look at me, perhaps hoping for a morsel of food. A little dog frightened the turtle back into the water and disturbed two ducks resting behind our bench. They hurriedly waddled in front of the bench where the dog’s leash couldn’t reach. Once the dog passed, each duck found a soft spot in the grass, nestled their little heads into their bodies, and returned to duck dreamtime. With two in front of me and one sleeping next to me on the bench, I shared with my friend that I was now the fourth corner of a sleeping duck square.

After a delightful conversation and a centering prayer, I hung up the phone and sat there in the dark for several more minutes basking in the energy. Night had fallen. The colored lights of the Medical Center were now illuminated as was the fountain in the middle of the lake. I was soothed by the gentle whooshing sound of the fountain interrupted by the occasional goose honking or child laughing. The peaceful stillness was palpable in that moment. It felt like such an honor to have gained the trust of those three sleeping ducks. I’m guessing they sensed they were safe with this human sitting among them. It struck me how this would not be what most would call a “hot Saturday night,” and yet I felt completely content and grateful for all of the elements that came together to create that unique experience.

Are you having a hard time finding peace and stillness in your current situation? Maybe it’s time to give yourself the gift of Life Coaching or Family Constellations so you can break the cycle or pattern and do things differently. It would be my great honor to assist you through whatever you are going through and growing through. Please look around my website or send me an email for more information and to schedule your first session. An experience of peace and stillness might be just a phone call away.

Until next time, I wish you an experience of peace and stillness wherever and however it may find you.

Now is there silence all around the world. Now is there stillness where before there was a frantic rush of thoughts that made no sense. Now is there tranquil light across the face of earth, made quiet in a dreamless sleep. ~ from Lesson 198 in A Course in Miracles

What Kind of Day Are You Having?

This week I am at the 43rd Annual Big Sky Retreat in Big Sky, Montana. This will be the fifth year I have been a part of this retreat and my first as President of the Board. To commemorate this milestone, I thought I would share something with you that I wrote when I returned from my very first one back in September of 2014. It’s still one of the most memorable moments I’ve had in that gorgeous part of the country. Enjoy!

“Think about the kind of day you want, and tell yourself there is a way in which this very day can happen just like that.”

This practical advice comes from the first section of Chapter 30 in the text of A Course in Miracles. I highly recommend taking a look at this whole section because it has been a game changer for me. From recent personal experience, I can say wholeheartedly that it works!

I just returned from an incredible journey with Dr. Charles Geddes, the Founder and Spiritual Director of Bridges Spiritual Centers. Each morning before we started our day, we took a few moments to pray. We “pre-prayed” the way of our journey by clearly stating our intentions. We wanted to experience and share peace, love, and joy wherever we went. We asked to be that Presence. We also stated our desire for Presence to be revealed as Mother Nature’s beauty all along the drive through the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone National Park as we made our way to Big Sky, Montana for the annual Big Sky Retreat. I am happy to report that it worked!

Mother Nature did indeed reveal her beauty along the way, especially at Yellowstone.  After a magnificent day of hiking, close encounters with buffalo, and breathtaking vistas, Charles and I decided to call it a day. The sun was setting as we drove out of the park, yet we remained vigilant for more beauty. Just a few miles from the west exit we noticed a large number of cars parked along the road and hundreds of people gazing across a large open field. We couldn’t tell what they were looking at, but judging by the crowd, it had to be good.

We parked our car and crossed the street to an area where there were fewer people. There, in the distance, on the other side of Snake River in a golden sunlit meadow, two elk were locking antlers. Charles and I had been guided to the perfect spot, for as the elk continued their show they gradually moved closer and closer to where we were standing. Their sparring was very gentle as if they were playing or perhaps just practicing. Occasionally they would stop to eat and drink peacefully together before lowering their heads once again to lock antlers. This continued for at least 30 minutes.

At one point the elk apparently decided they had given us enough of a show. To our amazement, they paused in the golden sunlight directly across the river from us just long enough for me to snap this picture. Then these majestic animals entered the water and waded down the river together into the sunset. What an exit!

Our journey was filled with many beautiful moments like this and the Big Sky Retreat was one big “WOW!” I felt that Presence more times than I could count. My eyes filled with tears of joy as we sang songs of remembrance together. My heart was filled with peace during quiet moments and I feel immense gratitude for all the wonderful people I met. Those are the kind of days I’d like to have more of.

Until next time, I encourage you to consciously decide what kind of day you’d like to have each morning. Then as you go about your daily activities look for evidence of only that!

A Match Made in Heaven

Last week I had the honor and joy of witnessing my dear friend Melinda get married. The funny thing is, she already had a husband. No, Melinda isn’t a polygamist. The marriage I witnessed was actually the coming together of the right minister and the right church. I met Rev. Melinda Wood Allen last June in San Antonio, Texas at the Unity Worldwide Ministries Conference. We hit it off immediately. Not only did I learn that she is an amazing singer/songwriter, but at the time she was looking for the right spiritual community to continue her calling as a minister.

I saw her again earlier this year at the emPower Posi Music Awards in Tampa, Florida. Her song “Ancestors” was nominated for an award. We had a wonderful conversation in the hotel lobby after the awards show. We laughed and caught up with each other’s lives until almost 1 in the morning. That’s when she shared this profound teaching and prayer with me. Having had a few disappointments over the past few months in her “church search,” she was doing her best to stay centered and peaceful as she waited for an answer from a center where she had recently spoken. Instead of praying that she would get the job, she was simply holding the vision that this center would find the perfect minister and that she would find the perfect church. What a beautiful prayer of surrender and trust. How often do we pray for a specific outcome when, from our limited perspective, how could we possibly know what is the highest good for all?

That prayer really stuck with me. In fact, I shared it with one of my Life Coaching clients the very next day. Instead of praying for God to fix his relationship, I offered that we hold the vision together that both he and his partner find the perfect match. If it’s each other, great. If it’s not, everyone still wins! By the way, this visioning prayer will also work for business opportunities, jobs, and places to live. Instead of trying to figure out what’s best or impose our will, why not pray for the perfect match? Then we can relax and let the Universe orchestrate all the details while we do only the action steps that are ours to do. If it’s a romantic or business partner that you’re looking for, I offer these powerful and comforting words from A Course in Miracles:

There are no accidents in salvation. Those who are to meet will meet, because together they have the potential for a holy relationship. They are ready for each other.

Needless to say, Melinda got the job. Everyone who spoke at the ceremony last Friday said the same thing. It literally was “a match made in Heaven.” Melinda is the perfect, heart-centered minister for the Cathedral of Light in Dallas and the Cathedral of Light is the perfect, heart-centered spiritual community for Melinda. I felt the same immediate connection with the church that I felt with Melinda. As soon as I arrived at the church I noticed the words “Teaching Only Love” written on the outside wall. That felt like a nod to a famous quote from A Course in Miracles: “Teach only love for that is what you are.” It turns out the founding minister of the Cathedral of Light is a long-time student of the Course. I later found out from a congregant that she also loves angels, which is evident by the many paintings and sculptures of angels throughout the building.

Of course, I sprinkled some rose quartz crystals on either side of the entrance to the church to bless everyone who entered with the energy of unconditional love and compassion. Imagine my surprise when I walked into the sanctuary for the first time and saw a row of pink stained glass windows on either side. The sanctuary was bathed in soft pink light, just like I had envisioned when I planted those little pink stones. It was absolutely beautiful and full of love, just like the ceremony and all the wonderful people I met that evening. Everything just felt right. I could not be happier for my friend Melinda or for the Cathedral of Light. In my humble opinion, it is both a match made in Heaven and a holy relationship.

Are you looking for a partner, a career change, or a new place to live? I would be honored to hold the vision of a match made in Heaven and give you tools to help you become a match for what you desire. Please look around my website to learn about the different Life Coaching packages available to assist you. You might also try a Family Constellations session to uncover any hidden blocks that prevent you from the happy, healthy, prosperous life you were meant to live. Simply send me an email with any questions you may have or to schedule an appointment.

Until next time, together let’s hold the highest vision for the world that we all become a match made in Heaven.

Fatih, Trust, and Moving Dust

I arrived in Houston last Thursday evening after weeks of preparations and two and a half days of driving. Honestly, I can’t believe everything that needed doing before my move got done. Since I was moving into a furnished home, I decided to donate most of my belongings to an organization that helps people in recovery get back on their feet. A lot of my furniture was given to me when I started over five years ago, so it felt like the right thing to do. The pickup was scheduled for Monday morning, but around 11 AM I got a call from Stacey, the woman I had made arrangements with, telling me some challenges had come up on her end. She wasn’t able to make it that morning but was going to try to make arrangements to come later in the day.

In the meantime, I was trying to sell the few things this organization wouldn’t or couldn’t take on the LetGo and OfferUp apps. My phone was making all kinds of dinging and pinging noises while I was finishing up laundry and packing. People were making inquiries about my old iMac computer and my bedroom furniture but no one was following through with a commitment to buy them. One woman really wanted my iMac for her kids so we made arrangements for her to drop by my apartment later that evening to pick it up. While at a goodbye dinner with my brother later that evening I received two disappointing text messages. One was from the computer lady saying something came up and she couldn’t make it. The other was from Stacey saying she was going to try again for a furniture pickup the next day. Try? That didn’t sound hopeful. Sadly, by the end of the day Monday, the only two things I had let go was my floor lamp and my faith that everything else would find a home in twenty-four hours. I was very frustrated with the whole process.

On Tuesday morning, my partner and I took a moment to pray that everything in my apartment that wasn’t going to Texas would find the perfect home. In that prayer we also surrendered to the possibility that we might have to delay our departure knowing that whenever we left would be perfect. Looking around my still very full apartment with not a lot of faith, I decided to call Faith Farm to see if they would be able to come pick up my furniture. Friday was the earliest day available. That wasn’t great news, but at least it was an option. I told the nice woman on the phone that I would have to call her back when I knew exactly what I had for them to pick up. Moments after I hung up the phone it chimed again. It was a text message from Stacey telling me she was on her way with a minivan. Seriously? There was no way all of that furniture would fit in a minivan!

But then a miracle arrived, and her name was Odalys. She was part of the crew Stacey brought to pick up the furniture. Odalys was a no-nonsense kind of gal with a leather cap, a heart of gold, and a determination of steel. Once she saw the quality of what I was donating, she insisted they take everything we were letting go no matter how many trips it took. She was definitely the answer to a prayer. Within two hours most everything that wasn’t nailed down or going to Houston was gone. She literally would have taken my welcome mat too if I didn’t insist she leave it because it belonged to the apartment complex! By 6 PM my apartment was empty and clean and we were on the road.

The final act of grace came when I received a message from the woman who wanted to buy my iMac. She was still interested but had no way to get it. That’s when it dawned on me. According to the app, she lived in the same town as one of my best friends who we were going to stop and say goodbye to on our way out of town. I told her if she was still interested we could bring it to her. She was thrilled! After a tearful goodbye with my friend, we delivered the computer to a very appreciative mom. Thus, the final object found a home just as we had envisioned in our prayer.

I reminded myself that the real miracle was not that everything found a home. The miracle was the shift from fear to love that happened when I remembered the Truth during that prayer. Everything would work out well despite all the evidence that it wasn’t. I just needed “faith, trust, and a little pixie dust” as Peter Pan told Wendy, John, and Michael when he was teaching them to fly.

Is there something going on in your life where you could use a little faith and trust? I would be honored to help you through this situation and help you see the miracle with a Life Coaching or Family Constellations session. Both can be done in person, over the phone, or via Skype. Please look around my website or send me an email for more information or to schedule a session.

Until next time, no matter how heavy the situation feels, remember with a little faith, trust, and perhaps some pixie dust you too can fly!

When All Else Fails Try Nothing

Is doing nothing a spiritual practice? It can be. I had a wonderful opportunity to “do nothing” last week when I was trying to make travel arrangements to avoid Hurricane Irma. I was away from my Fort Lauderdale home as the storm made its way closer and closer to the Sunshine State. Her size and strength certainly got my attention and the attention of many others. I heard from friends back home that grocery store shelves were bare and there were long lines at gas stations. Highways were clogged with traffic as literally millions of Floridians tried to get out of harm’s way. Since I had no food in my refrigerator at home, and no pets or children to take care of, it seemed like the best option for me was to stay away and send peaceful prayers from afar.
On Tuesday the airline sent me an email advisory saying severe weather in Florida may impact my travel plans. The email also said they would accommodate changes with no additional fees. I had planned to fly to Houston for an event the following weekend. Since I had a place to stay there, it seemed like a good idea to go directly there to wait out the storm. The first leg of my return trip was from Montana to Dallas, so I thought getting to Houston would be easy. I could even rent a car and drive from there.

Late Tuesday evening after a full day of activities and positive messages at the Big Sky Retreat, I called the airline fully expecting that it would be no problem to change my final destination from Fort Lauderdale to Houston. I was shocked when the representative told me differently. Apparently my request was beyond the parameters of what she was authorized to do because of the distance between Houston and Fort Lauderdale. She could only make that change if I paid a $200 change fee plus the difference in airfare. The total would be over $600! This didn’t seem to be practical or in alignment with the email I received, so I asked to speak with her supervisor. I waited patiently on hold, all the while visualizing the supervisor hearing my situation and telling me it would be no problem to change my flight. I was stunned and a little indignant when the supervisor told me the exact same thing. She apologized and offered to fly me to another Florida airport, but that clearly would not solve my problem. Had she not seen the size and the track of this storm?

It was late and I was exhausted. I had no more energy to put towards a solution that night, so I politely declined her suggestion to fly to West Palm Beach or pay the $600 and hung up the phone. There was nothing else I could do in that moment, so I said a prayer of surrender and went to sleep. The next morning I was still in disbelief at the lack of cooperation from the airline. Instead of another frustrating conversation preceded by a lengthy wait on hold, I decided to do nothing about my flight for the next few days. Having lived in Florida for 25 years I knew a lot could change with the storm. I also knew from past experience that trying to force a solution never ends well. I went about my business and enjoyed the last two days of the retreat trusting it would all work out.
My plan was to visit Yellowstone National Park with my friend Katie once the retreat ended and I saw no reason to alter the plan. On Wednesday evening I received a second email from the airline telling me my flight had been cancelled due to the closing of the Fort Lauderdale airport. I decided to call the airline on our drive to Yellowstone on Thursday. Apparently the Universe had other ideas because I had no cell service the entire way or inside the park. Again I could do nothing.

We had a wonderful afternoon and evening exploring Yellowstone. We enjoyed a spectacular sunset at the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone and got caught in the midst of a herd of bison on our way out of the park. It was fantastic! By the time we had something to eat and got back to the hotel it was quite late. Now I had cell service so it was time to do something about my flight. To my surprise I only waited for about twenty minutes to speak with a representative. This time when I made my request the woman on the other end of the phone said, “No problem. Would you like a window or an aisle seat to Houston?” What a difference 48 hours made! I almost couldn’t believe my ears. I was in such a place of gratitude for this outcome and for the guidance to surrender for a few days and do nothing.

Is there a situation in your life where you are trying to force a solution? Maybe the answer is to do nothing right now. If you could use some help surrendering, perhaps now is the time to sign up for a four, six, or eight week Life Coaching package. It would be my great honor to assist you through this situation by sharing some of the spiritual tools and techniques that have worked for me. Family Constellations is another great way to let something go that may be preventing you from moving forward. It’s an amazing, one-of-a-kind process that you need to experience to believe. You can join me for an upcoming group event or schedule a private session in person, by phone, or via Skype. Please look around my website for more details about all of these opportunities.

Until next time, if it feels like you’ve tried everything to solve that problem maybe it’s time to try nothing.

Theme Park Prayers

Last week I didn’t send out an email because I was having a wonderful time playing Disney Tour Guide for three adults and a five year old. None of them had ever been to Disney World before, so it was great fun for me to see the parks through their eyes. I honestly don’t know how anyone manages to navigate that place without a guide. However, I believe we all have a guide that can help us navigate any theme park (or life experience for that matter) if we remember to ask for help. Saying a prayer and setting an intention for the day makes a huge difference no matter where you are or what the day holds for you. I had proof of this at Disney last week.
We went to the Magic Kingdom on Day One. Before we began our adventure we huddled in our van to say a prayer of gratitude for being together. We also set the intention to be the presence of love and joy everywhere we went. Minutes after that prayer, I realized that I had left my park ticket in my wallet back in the hotel. Oops! Luckily I had taken a photo of the back of my ticket so I had the ID number. It took less than five minutes for a friendly cast member to issue me a replacement. Despite incredibly large crowds on President’s Day, we managed to ride several rides and find an excellent spot to watch the 3 o’clock parade. After the parade, we went back to our hotel to rest for a while. We returned for nighttime fun and fireworks refreshed and reenergized. I highly recommend this strategy, especially if you have little ones.

For some reason the opportunity to pray never presented itself on Day Two, or perhaps we simply forgot. Even though there were fewer people at the Animal Kingdom that day, things did not flow as well as the previous day. There were many obstacles, including an injured bird that caused the closing of the entrance to DinoLand, USA for over an hour. The day ended with an attraction that broke as soon as we entered the cue line. It wasn’t a horrible day, but it certainly didn’t flow like the first day.

Noticing the difference between Day One and Day Two, I was determined not to forget our Theme Park Prayer on Day Three. I loved seeing the five year old’s eyes light up when I asked her if we could all pray together before boarding the monorail. That prayer worked! The way everything lined up that day was quite miraculous. Thanks to an inspired idea and a handy Disney app, I was able to make breakfast reservations for us at the perfect time at the Polynesian Resort. Although it was drizzling when we arrived at the Magic Kingdom, the rain stopped long enough for us to enjoy the 3 o’clock parade, a few rides, and make it to a restaurant in Liberty Square for a late lunch. During lunch the skies opened up and torrential downpours literally flooded the park. The rain continued off and on for the rest of the day, but we were still able to ride more rides and join the dance party in Tomorrowland. True, our prayer didn’t change the weather, but it sure changed our experience.

Every morning the first thing I do when I wake up is ask the voice of Love to help me make all of my decisions that day. Then I ask these three questions from Lesson 72 in A Course in Miracles

What would You have me do?
Where would You have me go?
What would You have me say, and to whom?

It’s a wonderful way to surrender to a presence that has more of the answers than I could possibly have. A Course in Miracles has more great advice in Chapter 30:

Throughout the day, at any time you think of it and have a quiet moment for reflection, tell yourself again the kind of day you want; the feelings you would have, the things you want to happen to you, and the things you would experience, and say:

If I make no decisions by myself, this is the day that will be given me.

Whether you are headed to a theme park, the grocery store, or a family reunion, this technique can work miracles. Give it a try and see what happens.

If you’d like some more specific assistance with your particular situation or circumstance, I would be honored to be your guide with Life Coaching based on the loving principles found in A Course in Miracles. I offer four, six, and eight week programs to suit your needs and budget. Family Constellations is another great tool to help clear the path of obstacles that seem to be blocking your happiness and peace. You can find more information about both on my website.
Until next time, may you surrender to the kind of day you have been wishing for and the happy life that is waiting for you.

Bunnies and Bison and Bears! Oh MY!

I’m glad to be home after an amazing, miracle-filled 15 days of travel with Dr. Charles Geddes. One of my favorite things about traveling with Charles (besides all the laughing) is that we begin each day with a prayer of intention. The miracles that follow are remarkable! Skies light up. Roads clear. Bears, bison, birds, and bunnies greet us. And swimsuits are 75% off! These are just some of the demonstrations of how our thoughts and intentions create our reality. You don’t have to call it prayer if that word bothers you. Simply taking a moment to be still and setting an intention before beginning any activity will produce miraculous results. I was given the opportunity to see this again during the 41st Annual Big Sky Retreat, the longest running metaphysical retreat in the world!

I’ve been facilitating Family Constellations Workshops for over 3 years now, and this was my third year doing them in Big Sky. It surprised me when I felt nervous and a bit flustered before my first presentation on Sunday. I arrived an hour early to set the sacred space, open the four directions of the Native American Medicine Wheel, and invite the ancestors in, as I do before every workshop. Despite these preparations, I still felt a bit “off.” That’s when two dear friends from the Satya Center in Ogden, UT strolled in for an impromptu visit. Rev. Ali Benjamin and her husband Michael were on their way to another workshop, but when they saw me setting up they stopped in to say hello. I’m so glad they did! Ali could tell I was not myself. Both she and Michael asked if there was anything they could do to help me. I thought about it for a moment, and then realized there was something they could do. I asked them to pray with me.
The three of us stood hand in hand as Michael began a beautiful prayer of allowance and grace before passing the word to Ali who blessed the workshop and all who would be attending. It was wonderful and exactly what I needed to come back to center. I’m happy to report the workshop was fantastic and full of healing and transformation. Ali and Michael were the answers to my unspoken prayer that afternoon. It was a great reminder of the power of prayer and intention. When we have eyes to see and ears to hear, everything we need is provided for us (sometimes even before we ask.)

Another great moment happened during my second workshop the following day. As a resolution was beginning to unfold in the constellation, I glanced out the tall picture windows of the meeting room. Big, white, fluffy snowflakes were falling outside. It was breathtakingly beautiful! That was definitely a first for me during a constellation. The synchronicities in that particular constellation were incredible. After the workshop, one participant asked me, “Does that kind of thing happen every time, John?’ I answered, “Pretty much!” It never ceases to amaze me how everything is connected and has meaning when we come together to do Family Constellations. I am very aware that there is a power much greater than me at work orchestrating it all.
That same benevolent power, whatever we choose to call it, is not limited to Family Constellations Workshops. Doing this work for as long as I have has helped me to see more clearly than ever that this force is also at play in all aspects of my life. If you’d like some assistance seeing evidence of this, now is the time to attend a Family Constellations Workshop or schedule a private session in person, by phone, or via Skype from anywhere in the world. Life Coaching will also help you gain a broader perspective and help you trust the benevolent flow of life. Please look around my new website for more information about both. You’ll save money by registering for an upcoming workshop and paying in advance too!

Until next time, remember to take a quiet moment before you begin any activity. Set an intention. Then let the Universe conspire in your favor to make it happen beyond your wildest dreams.
